B
- Best ball · A draft-only format with no in-season lineup management. Your highest-scoring players are auto-slotted into the optimal lineup each week.
- Blind bid waivers · A waiver system where managers submit hidden bids on free agents and the highest bid wins. It's the mechanism behind FAAB.

- Commissioner · The league member who administers a fantasy football league: setting rules, processing transactions, resolving disputes, and keeping the season running.

- Dynasty startup draft · The initial draft that forms a dynasty league, stocking every roster from the full pool of veterans and rookies at once.

- FAAB (Free Agent Acquisition Budget) · A fake-money budget each manager spends on blind waiver bids for free agents. The highest bid wins the player.
K
- Keeper league · A format where you retain a small, fixed number of players year to year and redraft the rest each season.
L
- League constitution · A written rulebook for a fantasy league covering scoring, waivers, trades, payouts, and penalties, so disputes get settled before they start.
M
- Multi-league dashboard · A single view that surfaces all of a manager's fantasy leagues at once, instead of making them open and switch between each one.
O
- Orphan team · A dynasty roster abandoned mid-league by its previous manager, left intact for a new owner to take over.
P
- Parent league · A persistent container that groups a fantasy league's seasons and side games under one identity that survives year to year.
- Pick'em · A weekly game where members predict the winners of upcoming matchups, scored on how many they call correctly.
- PPR, half-PPR & standard scoring · The three common scoring systems, set apart by how many points a player earns per reception: 0, 0.5, or 1.

- Rolling waivers · A waiver system where claiming a player drops you to the bottom of the priority order, so the queue rotates over the season.

- Salary cap (dynasty) · A dynasty format that assigns players contract values against a team budget, forcing roster decisions under a spending limit.
- Side pot · A secondary competition run alongside the main fantasy league, like weekly high score, survivor, or pick'em, to keep everyone engaged all season.
- Sleeper · A free, app-first fantasy sports platform known for customizable leagues and in-app chat. It's the platform Armchair Commish connects to today.
- Superflex · A flex roster spot that can start a quarterback, effectively letting managers play a second QB and sharply raising QB value.
- Survivor pool · An elimination game where you make one pick each week to stay alive. A wrong pick knocks you out, and the last survivor wins.
T
- Taxi squad · Extra dynasty roster slots for stashing young players without counting them against your active roster limit.
- Trade veto & collusion review · The process a league uses to reverse a trade suspected of collusion or error, whether by commissioner review, a league vote, or not at all.
